New Panvel-Nerul-Thane trains' timetable on Transharbour line from 29th May 2010

New train services are introduced on the transharbour line (Panvel - Nerul - Thane) from 29th May 2010. Pls find the updated time table here:


PS: As you can notice (in red font), some Panvel to Thane and Nerul to Thane trains are reaching Thane at almost the same time. If you are aware that some Nerul-Thane trains have been converted to Panvel-Thane and if there is some duplication in this transharbour line time table, do let us know.

Panvel-Thane train is a bliss! But know the tips

Every time I had to travel by train from Seawoods to Koparkhairane, I had to go for any of the following routes:
1 - Take a CST train from Seawoods, get off at Sanpada and then take a train to Thane (that has a very poor frequency).
2 - Take a CST train from Seawoods, get off at Nerul and then take a train to Thane (the Nerul-Thane route).

But this once, I really timed my journey and I was more than pleased. I took the direct Panvel-Thane slow train and had to change no train to reach Koparkhairane. It just took 20 minutes to cover the distance! The train was not crowded at all and I could board a general compartment. Why general compartment? Well, coz the ladies compartment did not arrive where it ideally does. And there's a reason for that - Read Tip number 2.

Panvel-Thane first fast trains time table

From 5th February 2010, two fast trains will run from Panvel to Thane and will halt only at Koparkhairane, Nerul, Belapur and Kharghar stations on the way. Here are the timings of the Panvel-Thane fast trains:

Panvel to Thane trains timetable

Somehow I missed updating the timetable for the Panvel-Thane trains. On request of my readers, here are the timings. As always, I think you should keep 10 minutes buffer time.

There are 2 Panvel-Thane trains as per my knowledge. They leave from Panvel at:

9:16 am
6:52 pm

New Panvel / Nerul to Thane Local Train Time Table from December 21, 2009

Additional local trains are plying from Nerul to Thane since the last time I updated the time table on this blog. So here's the latest one.

UPDATE 1: Additional train services are introduced on the transharbour line from 29th May 2010. Pls find the updated timings here.

Do remember to reach the station 10 minutes in advance. Though these are the timings that appeared in the newspapers, some of these trains leave Nerul 10 minutes earlier. Do let me know if you know the actual time when the trains leave Nerul.
