Mega Block Timings | 11th August 2013

CENTRAL LINE

Kalyan-Thane: Down line fast local trains leaving Thane station from 9.04 am to 2.51 pm will be diverted on the slow line between Kalyan and Thane Stations (will stop at all stations up to Kalyan ).
All Up fast trains leaving Thane from 10.50 am to 3.43 pm will halt at Ghatkopar, Vikhroli, Bhandup, Mulund in addition to their respective scheduled halts. 

The trains will run around 15 minutes behind their schedule.

Kalyan-Ambernath: Down line trains leaving Kalyan from 1.32 pm to 3.17 pm and Up line trains leaving Badlapur from 1.49 pm to 3.22 pm will remain suspended between Kalyan and Badlapur stations. Shuttle services will be operational between Badlapur and Karjat during the mega block.

CST-Bandra/Andheri: Harbour line trains to Bandra/Andheri leaving CST from 10.48 am to 3.33 pm and those leaving for CST from Bandra /Andheri from 10.40 am to 3.45 pm will remain suspended.

      

Harbour line services for Panvel / Belapur/Vashi leaving CST from 10.52 am to 3.13 pm will run via main line between CST and Kurla further will be diverted o­n Harbour line. These trains will not halt at Chinchpokli and Currey Road stations.
Harbour line passengers for Bandra/ Andheri are permitted to travel Via Main line and Western Railway from 10.00 am to 5.00 pm o­n 11.8.2013.  

WESTERN LINE

Borivali and Goregaon: There will be a 5-hour jumbo block o­n the 5th line between Borivali and Goregaon stations from 10.35 am to 3.35 pm today. During this period all Up & Down Mail as well as Express trains will run o­n fast lines between Borivali and Goregaon stations.

Sunday mega block timings - 28th October 2012

Thane-Kalyan:
Fast trains leaving CST from 10.08 am to 2.51 pm will run on slow line between Thane and Kalyan stations & will halt at all stations in between.

Nerul-Panvel:
Harbour line trains leaving Panvel from 10.43 am to 2.58 pm will remain suspended between Panvel and Nerul stations.
Harbour line trains leaving Nerul towards Panvel from 10.41 am to 3.17 pm will remain suspended between Panvel and Nerul stations.

Thane-Panvel:
Local trains leaving Panvel for Thane from 11.05 am to 3.19 pm will remain suspended between Panvel and Nerul stations.
Thane-Panvel trains leaving Nerul from 11.42 am to 2.48 pm will remain suspended between Panvel and Nerul stations.

Andheri-Panvel:
Panvel – Andheri services will remain cancelled during the block period.

However special local trains will run o­n Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus – Nerul section o­n Harbour line and Thane –Nerul section o­n Trans Harbour line during the block period.

CENTRAL LINE

Thane-Kalyan: Down line fast trains leaving CST station from 10.03 am to 1.40 pm will halt at Ghatkopar, Vikhroli, Bhandup and Mulund stations also. After Thane station, these trains will run on the slow line up to Kalyan and halt at all stations in between.



HARBOUR LINE

CST - Panvel / Belapur / Vashi: Down Harbour line services to Panvel / Belapur / Vashi leaving CST from 10.23 am to 3.37 pm and Up Harbour line services towards CST leaving Panvel / Belapur / Vashi from 10.20 am to 3.27 pm will remain suspended.

Kurla and Mankhurd: Up & Down Harbour line services will remain suspended between Kurla and Mankhurd. However special trains will run o­n Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus - Kurla and Mankhurd - Panvel  sections during the block period.

Harbour line passengers are permitted to travel via Main line and Thane - Nerul / Vashi from 10.00 am to 6.00 pm o­n 20.5.2012.

WESTERN LINE

Borivali and Goregaon: There will be a 5-hour jumbo block between Borivali and Goregaon stations from 11 am to 4 pm during which all Up and Down slow trains will run o­n fast track between Borivali and Goregaon. During the block period trains will run from Platform Nos. 3/4/5/6/6A at Borivali and some trains will remain cancelled.

No mega block on Sunday, 22nd April


There will be No Jumbo Block on WR on Sunday, 22nd April 2012.
Jumbo block on up & down harbour lines between Mahim and Andheri, as announced earlier, is cancelled.


Also, No Mega Block will be operated o­n CST Mumbai – Kalyan main line, CST Mumbai – Panvel Harbour line and Thane – Vashi / Nerul Transharbour line of Central Railway

Both Central and Western Railway won't operate a mega block on Sunday 4th December.

Sunday mega block timings - 20th November 2011

I am back from my trip and so is the mega block! Here are the mega block timings for Sunday 20.11.2011:

Mulund and Matunga: Slow trains leaving Matunga from 10.33 am to 3.59 pm will run on the fast track between Matunga and Mulund stations and will halt at Sion, Kurla, Ghatkopar, Vikhroli, Bhandup and Mulund stations.

Down slow line services will not be available at Vidya Vihar, Kanjurmarg and Nahur stations during the block period. Passengers wanting to reach these stations can travel via Kurla, Ghatkopar, Bhandup and Mulund. 

Harbour line train services will remain suspended as follows:
Mega block from CST to Bandra / Andheri: 10.47 am to 4.03 pm
Mega block from Bandra / Andheri to CST: 10.41 am to 3.48 pm
Harbour line passengers for Bandra/Andheri are permitted to travel via Main line and Western Railway from 10.00 am to 6.00 pm on their valid ticket on 20th November, 2011.

Up harbour line services from Panvel/Belapur/Vashi stations to CST leaving Kurla will take the main line route from 10.40 am to 3.54 pm but will not stop at Currey Road and Chichpokli stations.

Marine Lines and Mahim Junction: There will be a mega block between these stations from 10.35 am to 3.35 pm. During this period, slow trains leaving Marine Lines will run on fast track and will not halt at Mahalaxmi, Elphinstone Road and Matunga Road stations. 
Passengers are allowed to travel via opposite direction for their destinations between Bandra and Mumbai Central. All 12-coach slow trains will take a double halt at Lower Parel and Mahim stations during the block.  Some up and down Mumbai local trains will be cancelled.

Mega Block timings - Sunday, November 6


Kalyan to Thane: Fast trains leaving Thane between 10.45 am and 3.58 pm will be diverted on slow line upto Kalyan station and will halt at all stations between Thane and Kalyan during the block period.

Vashi and Belapur: Trains leaving Belapur/Panvel will remain cancelled from Belapur up to Vashi between 10.48 am and 4.01 pm.
Trains leaving Vashi will remain cancelled from Vashi up to Belapur between 10.41 am and 4.06 pm.

Thane and Panvel: On the Trans-Harbour line, trains will not run from Panvel up to Nerul from 11.03 am to 3.25 pm .
Trains leaving Thane will be cancelled between Nerul and Panvel from 10.03 am to 2.21 pm.

Andheri and Panvel: Trains will not run between Andheri and Panvel during the mega block period.

Mega block timings for 25 September 2011

Central Railway will operate a mega block today on Sunday, September 25, 2011. Here are the mega block timings you must be aware of if you are planning to travel by local trains in Mumbai today:


Mega block on Matunga to Mulund: Fast trains leaving CST between 10.28 am and 3.25 pm will run on slow track from Matunga to Mulund and will halt at all stations in between.

Harbour line trains from Panvel / Belapur / Vashi to CST will run on Central Main Fast Line from Kurla station to CST from 10.40 am to 3.54 pm. The trains will not halt at Currey Road and Chinchpokli stations.

Harbour line train services will remain suspended as follows:
Mega block from CST to Bandra / Andheri: 10.47 am to 4.03 pm
Mega block from Bandra / Andheri to CST: 10.41 am to 3.48 pm

Harbour line commuters for Bandra / Andheri can travel via main line / western line from 10 am to 6 pm during the mega block.

Mega Block Timings on Sunday, May 22


Like most Sundays, Central Railway will have a mega block on May 22, 2011. Here are the mega block timings when the local train services will be affected:

Matunga to Mulund: The slow trains leaving Matunga station between 10.33 am to 3.59 pm will be diverted on the fast track and and will stop at Sion, Kurla, Ghatkopar, Vikhroli, Bhandup and Mulund stations. Slow trains (down) will not stop at Vidyavihar, Kanjurmarg and Nahur stations during this period.

Tip on how to reach these stations during mega block: You can reach these three stations on your valid tickets as follows:
  1. Vidyavihar - Get off at Ghatkopar station and take the up line (reverse direction i.e. CST train).
  2. Kanjurmarg - Get off at Bhandup station and take the up line (reverse direction i.e. CST train).
  3. Nahur - Get off at Mulund station and take the up line (reverse direction i.e. CST train).
However, up harbour line services from Vashi station to Kurla station will be suspended from 10.21 am to 4.16.

Similarly, down harbour line services from Kurla to Vashi from 10.38 am to 4.08 pm will be suspended.

Mulund-Matunga Mega Block Today

Some of the trains on the central line will be cancelled today.

Between Mulund and CST stations: Fast trains will run on the slow line from 6.09 am to 12.50 pm and will halt at all stations.

Central, harbour line mega block timings today

Central Railway will operate a mega block today on Sunday 26th September 2010 for carrying out maintenance work. Here are the mega block timings and all you must know if you are planning to commute by local trains using Mumbai's central / harbour line today:


Mega block between Kurla and Vashi: 11 am to 4 pm
Vashi to Mumbai CST: 10.21am to 4.16 pm
Mega block between Kurla to Panvel: 10.38 am to 4.08 pm

Special local trains will be operated between CST-Kurla and Vashi-Panvel.


Harbour line commuters can travel on the Thane-Vashi-Nerul line on their valid tickets during the mega block.
